It reminds me of the Pogo quote "We have met the enemy and he is us." I am one of those who want to finish the problem in 20 minutes or less and want to load the weapons. There are those who are seeking to identify the enemy and those who are there just to cheer on the troops. Good article! It reminds me of my days in the referendum committee.

I'm sure that the term was only used to give the non-scientific reader an impressive perspective on just how small the molecule is. In an actual scientific publication more precise (and confusing!) language would be used.

Also, this is awesome news! Imagery of single molecules? Amazing!!

Hey Brian, I appreciate the comment. I had heard that your talk was good, and now I have proof: you've got a good presentation style. I think your talk at SxSW was much, much more interesting than your shows because it imparts a lot more information than the tricks do. I just don't see the reason behind the tricks.

It's great to learn more about psychology, sociology, and most soft sciences, but when I see the show I just see you performing some simple tricks. When all is said and done there's maybe a 1:20 ratio of explanation(science) to trick explanation(instructions). The tricks just aren't valuable to me, but the knowledge you have about the reason they work is.

Keep in mind that I'm probably not your target audience. I know that a lot of people, including some of my friends, enjoy your work. I think you've got a great charisma and flow for hosting. You're obviously quite a capable performer; I also imagine you do pretty well with these tricks at the bar. I'll drink with you if you're in town.

Hi Raymond! Glad you're checking out Rev3's content, though I think you might have gotten the wrong idea about what Scam School's all about. We certainly do our share of gutter pranks, but the larger focus of the show is about learning how to use psychological fixed action patterns to get people to give you stuff for free of respond the way you'd like.

Best example of this should be coming out in a couple of weeks: it's my talk from SxSW, titled "social engineering: scam your way into anything or from anyone" Video will be forthcoming on a future scam school, but audio is available right away:

http://audio.sxsw.com/2009/podcasts/D1%20SXSW_PODCASTS/031309_PM3_Lv4_Rm18_ScamYourWayIntoAnything.mp3

hope you like it, and let me know what you think scam school could change to become more palatable to you!

I couldn't disagree more. I absolutely love my nuwave. I use it several times a week. It was a gift from my Grandmother this Christmas and had never heard of it prior to receiving it. I read the instructions and tried it being that it was capable of cooking frozen meats. Having 7 people to feed on a daily basis, you'd think I would plan ahead and defrost, but no. I regularly pull out frozen meat, season and cook. It is quick and delicious. I think it's brilliant. My husband is a food snob and is very hard to please, but this has surprised even him. We make BBQ, last minute steaks (not as good as a charcoal grill), pork loins, baked potatoes, asparagus, etc., etc. Cook everything at the same time, one pan to clean. Love the convenience.

I purchased the Nu-Wave oven about 3 months ago. I hated it from the time I recieved it. It takes MUCH longer to cook food in it then what they say it does. I cooked a steak for close to two hours. When I went to return it they would not refund my shipping which i understood. HOWEVER make sure you keep your tracking # from UPS or FEDEX!!!! After 2 months with no funds returned to me I called them AGAIN and told them I was turning them into the BBB unless I recieved my return! They told me the ONLY way they would refund me my money was to prove to them that they had recieved it. Thank GOD I kept the tracking #'s. They said they NEVER recieved it but since i had the tracking # proving that they had recieved it they refunded me my money. HORRIBLE PRODUCT!!!! Wonder how much they pay the people in the infomercials????

So, are you saying that you are upset with Cox? Was that your point? Or were you just gently suggesting that you would like their service improve just a bit? Kidding of course. I hope that you get your internet set up soon. We miss your face! mom
